1. Overview of Service


Nanny 911 is a subscription-based safety and recovery service offered by Cobourg Pet Nanny (“we,” “us,” “our”). The service includes:

    •    A unique identification tag for each pet in the household, displaying a unique ID number, our company logo, and our contact phone number.

    •    A call-back service in which we attempt to reach the pet’s owner if the pet is found and we receive a call.

    •    If necessary, a transportation service to return the pet home (“Ride Home Service”).


Subscriptions are available on an annual or monthly basis.



2. Subscription Benefits


Each active subscription includes:

    •    One (1) complimentary Ride Home Service per subscription term (annually).

    •    Additional Ride Home Services at a rate of $40 plus applicable taxes per ride.

    •    Active registration of each pet in our online system to ensure accurate and accessible owner and pet information.



3. Eligibility Requirements


To participate in Nanny 911, subscribers must:

    1.    Provide the microchip (if applicable) number for each enrolled pet for verification and security purposes.

    2.    Complete and maintain an up-to-date profile in our online system, including:

    •    Pet information (name, species, breed, microchip number, distinguishing features)

    •    Owner information (name, address, phone number, email)

    •    Emergency contact information


Failure to provide or update required information may delay or prevent service.



4. Calls Received for Non-Subscribers


If we receive a call regarding a pet previously enrolled in Nanny 911 but the owner’s subscription has expired or been cancelled, the owner may still request a Ride Home Service. The fee for this service is $60 plus applicable taxes per ride, payable at the time of service. No complimentary ride is included once the subscription lapses.



5. Pet Pick-Up and Ride Home Service


When we receive a call from someone who has found a pet wearing a Nanny 911 tag, we will:

    1.    Attempt to contact the owner using the information on file.

    2.    If the owner cannot immediately retrieve the pet and requests assistance, or if circumstances require our intervention, we will dispatch a team member to pick up and return the pet home.

    3.    Service availability may depend on staff availability, weather conditions, and safety considerations.



6. Limitations & Exclusions


The Nanny 911 service does not guarantee:

    •    The recovery of a lost or stolen pet.

    •    Immediate pickup if conditions are unsafe or staff are unavailable.

    •    Transport outside Cobourg and designated service areas (as determined by Cobourg Pet Nanny).


We reserve the right to refuse service in situations deemed unsafe for staff or the pet.



7. Subscription Payments & Cancellations

    •    Subscriptions may be paid monthly or annually.

    •    All fees are non-refundable once a subscription period has begun.

    •    Customers may cancel at any time; however, cancellation does not entitle the subscriber to a prorated refund.

    •    Upon cancellation, the complimentary Ride Home Service is forfeited.

    •    Ride Home Services after cancellation are billed at $60 plus applicable taxes.



8. Owner Responsibilities


Subscribers are responsible for:

    •    Ensuring the pet wears the Nanny 911 tag.

    •    Keeping all contact and pet information accurate and up to date.

    •    Ensuring safe access to their property for pet return.

    •    Picking up their pet promptly if returning home is not possible for any reason.



9. Liability


Cobourg Pet Nanny will take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety of pets under our care. However, by enrolling in Nanny 911, subscribers acknowledge that:

    •    We are not liable for health issues, injuries, or events outside our control that occur before, during, or after transport.

    •    Our responsibility is limited solely to contact attempts and, if requested and feasible, the transportation of the pet back to the home address on file.



10. Changes to Terms & Conditions


Cobourg Pet Nanny reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
